About me
My name is Saara Rantanen and I am a tv-news reporter from Helsinki. Currently I’m on sabbatical and living in Lapland.

Besides being a journalist I am also a mobile journalist and a mobile journalist trainer. And one more thing: I am a carelian bonesetter.
My spare time I spend outside hiking, skiing, picking berries and foraging mushrooms. My indoor hobbies are knitting and learning sami handicraft.

Bonesetting
Carelian bonesetting is a very old skill used back in the times when doctors were few and far apart. It is a gentle method relieving tensions and enhancing lymphatic circulation. It is a most rewarding feeling when I help a customer get rid of his/her pains.

Mobile journalism
The best camera is the one you have with you. Nowadays when we all have a smart phone in our pocket we also have a full tv news report capability with us at all times.
I can teach and train you how to use smartphone for professional tv productions or just to make a really nice video for your social media or any other needs.

Knitting
I am an active person. I hike, I cut and chop firewood, I ski, I pick berries, I forage mushroom just to mention a few of my favourite hobbies. When I sit down, I start knitting. My favourite knitting are the socks, but I knit sweaters, mittens, scarfs and hats as well.
Sometimes I take my knitwork along when I go hiking and knit wherever I happen to be.
